Where Should You Put Your Logo on a Private Label Pillow?

When developing a private label memory foam pillow, one of the first things a customer usually thinks about is the logo.

The question is simple:
“Can you put our logo on the pillow?”

Yes.

But another question is worth asking:
“Where should the logo go?”

This detail is sometimes decided very quickly. But the logo position can affect the appearance of the pillow, production details and even how the customer sees the brand.

There is no single best position for every pillow.

Logo on the Pillow Cover

The most obvious option is putting the logo directly on the pillow cover.

This can be done in different ways, such as embroidery, printing or a sewn label, depending on the cover material and design.

This option makes the brand easy to see.

It can work well when the brand wants the logo to be part of the product design.
But it is not always the best choice.

For a simple or premium-looking pillow, a large logo may make the product look too busy.

Some brands prefer their logo to be visible, while others want a much more subtle appearance.

A Small Label on the Side

Another common option is a small woven label or brand label on the side of the pillow cover.

This gives the product a branded detail without putting a large logo in the main visual area.

It can be a good choice for brands that want something simple and understated.

The exact position still needs to be checked against the pillow shape, seam and cover construction.

A small change in position can make the label look much more natural.

What About the Wash or Care Label?

This is an option that is easy to overlook.

A pillow already needs a care or wash instruction label.

So instead of creating another place just for the brand, the logo can sometimes be included as part of the label design.

For example, the label may include the brand name or logo together with care instructions and other required information.

This can be a smart solution when the brand wants a more subtle look.

It also means the logo does not need to be placed on the main surface of the pillow.

We recently had a customer project where we suggested this approach.

The customer agreed with the idea, and the order moved forward.

The important point is not that a care label is always the best place for a logo.

It is that sometimes the best solution is already part of the product.

Logo on the Packaging

The pillow itself is not the only place for branding.

The logo can also be used on:
  • Individual packaging
  • Non-woven bags
  • Printed bags
  • Paper sleeves
  • Cartons
  • Hang tags

Packaging can be especially useful when the brand wants a stronger visual presentation without changing the appearance of the pillow itself.

A more complicated package may affect packing dimensions and loading.

So branding and packaging are sometimes connected decisions.

How Should You Choose?

Before deciding where to put the logo, I would normally look at a few simple questions:
Do you want the logo to be highly visible or subtle?
Is the pillow design simple or already detailed?
What type of cover are you using?
Will the pillow have a removable and washable cover?
Does the packaging also need to carry the brand?

There is no need to put the same logo everywhere.

In many cases, one small logo on the product plus clear branding on the packaging is already enough.

The goal is not to add more branding.

The goal is to make the branding feel like it belongs to the product.

A Small Detail That Can Make a Difference

Private label development is often about these small decisions.

A customer may know exactly what logo they want, but not necessarily the best place to use it.

This is where practical product experience can help.

Instead of simply following the instruction “put the logo here,” it can be useful to look at the whole product and ask:

What will look natural, work well in production and make sense for the brand?
